About the 48v LifePo4 Lithium battery.
The Super Turbo 1000-Lithium uses a 48v 12ah LifeP04 battery pack. These batteries were developed at the University of Texas in 1996 by John Goodenough’s research group and are the most advance rechargeable battery available for electric scooters today. They are non-toxic to the environment, stable, and have the greatest charge density to weight ratio of any battery available. At only 12lbs this battery weighs ¼ of what an equivalent SLA battery and has a life expectancy of 1000-1500 charge cycles compared to 250-350 of the average SLA battery. It also charges 1.5x faster than an equivalent SLA battery. We decided to go with a 48v configuration to maximize the powerful true 1000watt 3000rpm motor pushing it to a maximum speed of 32mph. This battery alone retails for over $500 and is the main reason that the scooter costs twice as much as our Super Turbo 800-Elite. Upgrading from an 800watt motor to a 1000watt motor and also upgrading all the electronics to a 48v system is not where the bulk of the price increase resides. The 48v LifePo4 battery is where almost all the price increase comes from. An equivalent 48v 12ah battery weighs over 40lbs compared to the LifePo4 battery weighing in at only 12lbs. This battery will outlast the average SLA battery’s life span by 4times. In other words you would end up replacing a SLA battery four times within one life span of a LifePo4 lithium battery. In long term use, LifePo4 batteries come out far cheaper than SLA batteries do. Another important fact about Life batteries is that they have a very slow discharge rate. Once charged you don’t have to worry about them discharging on their own for over a year, compared to SLA batteries needing to be charged at least once per month. Also keep in mind that both batteries need to be disconnected from the scooter after being fully charged and stored for long periods of time. From an environmental stand point; LifeP04 batteries are non-toxic to the environment compared to Sealed Lead Acid batteries being extremely toxic to the environment. Simply put; LifePo4 batteries are the wave of the future in electric scooter technology.

Warranty and Returns
The Super Turbo 1000watt Lithium comes with a six month bumper-to-bumper manufacturer's parts warranty and an additional 1 year warranty on the motor. This warranty covers factory defects and defaults only. This warranty will not cover labor, return shipping, any common maintenance such as tightening your chain or changing a tube if you get a flat tire. We do not cover misuse or broken parts caused by the user or by any other event. We will however during the six month warranty period, provide you with free parts if you have any defects. We also give free lifetime tech support over the phone. Super Cycles and Scooters LLC will not be responsible for shipping charges on received or refused packages, part returns, or scooter returns. If your scooter is damaged in shipping do not refuse it. We will ship out any damaged parts the same day we are informed. You have 5 days after receiving your scooter to notify us of any shipping damage. Freight collect and COD packages will not be accepted. SCOOTERS CAN ONLY BE RETURNED WITHIN THE FIRST 7 DAYS FROM RECEIPT AND MUST BE IN PERFECT CONDITION, UNUSED AND AUTHORIZED BEFORE BEING RETURNED.THERE IS A 15% RESTOCKING FEE ON ALL RETURNED ITEMS. All shipping fees are not refundable. Shipping Details
We inspect and test every scooter and improve its packaging before it ships out. Scooters must go through this process before being shipped for quality assurance. Once an order has been placed it usually takes no longer than 2 businesses to QC and ship your scooter. However, depending on the volume of orders we receive at the same time, your order may be delayed up to an additional five business days. You will receive a tracking number via: email once your order has been processed. This does not mean that your order has been shipped. Scooter orders go through our quality control process first and then are picked up by FedEx. Once your order has been picked up by FedEx, shipping time usually takes between 2-6 business days depending on what state you live in. East coast customers are usually 2-3 business days and West Coast is usually 4-6 business days.
